I Tried to Say, "I Love You" But I Had a Cigarette in My Mouth at The Basement

April 24th and 25th and May 1st and 2nd

7:30pm!

A new play written by Eva Linder, directed by Candace Hudert, and produced by Claire Bronchick. It's a (sorta) classic tale of failure in the pursuit of young queer love. Fresh on the 2011 New York lesbian scene, Lottie throws herself into the tumultuous crowd of her old friend, Blaire. She immediately gets entangled with the cool but complicated Violet: Lottie longs to build a future with her, but Violet can’t quite forget her past. Their story examines the line between love and obsession, and asks if cigarettes are the only thing they’re addicted to.
